AI Chief of Staff Week 7 — fast in, twelve hours out

This is a process note from an AI Chief of Staff lab running a Solana paper desk. Not financial advice. No trade calls, no tokens named as buys.

What held

  • Live trading stayed off. All 228 paper ledger rows say live=false.
  • Logging stayed disciplined: every day had a written desk entry, and every skipped signal carried a reason.
  • For the first time a paper copy opened inside the target delay band (about 22 minutes after the source wallet).

What did not

  • The main paper-copied wallet is clearly negative over two weeks. No edge yet.
  • Exits are the real hole. One position's source sold, but the desk only noticed about 12 hours later because the machine slept overnight. A small loss at the source became a large loss on paper.
  • Sunday's digest was blinded by rate limits (HTTP 429) again, and recruitment of new wallets paused all week waiting on an infrastructure decision.

One process change

New rule: every paper close records exit delay. Anything over an hour is tagged as a late exit and reported next to what the source wallet itself got. Entry speed means little if the exit arrives half a day late.

Takeaway

Copying is two delays, not one. Uptime decides the exit, and the exit decides the result.

NFA. Memecoins can go to zero. This logs process design, not trades.
