People have been talking about this effect over the last two days, so I decided to try recreating it. I really like the end result.

Here is my attempt. It uses paper.js, same as the original author, and this is the shader that was used.
However, someone on Reddit demonstrated a version here that works without JavaScript, he explain how he did it here, it still looks really cool.
