A few months ago, I started a small side project just for fun: Love Tales
The idea was simple. What if AI could take a couple’s real story and turn it into a beautifully illustrated fairytale? Something far more meaningful than cliché gifts or generic photo books.
I hacked together an MVP and to my surprise it resonated. Couples loved the idea of getting a unique storybook about their love written and illustrated like a modern fairytale.
What began as a playful experiment is now turning into something much bigger.
I am at an exciting point. To really scale LoveTales.ai I need to go deeper into AI. That means training a model locally and experimenting with LoRa fine-tuning so I can generate higher quality and more consistent illustrations at scale.
It feels like the classic indie hacker journey. Start small, learn in public, and let the project guide the next step.
I will be sharing the process here on Dev.to and on my Twitter account. The wins, the fails, and everything I learn about fine-tuning models, scaling AI infrastructure, and building a product that people truly love.
Stay tuned. The fairytale is just beginning ✍️
