I Removed a Hardcoded Part of DiscountHub

 # I Removed a Hardcoded Part of DiscountHub

Over the last few days, I’ve been rebuilding parts of DiscountHub.

One of the less visible changes: I removed a hardcoded store list from the frontend and connected it to live backend data.

Before, adding a new marketplace could mean:

backend integration
→ offers appear
→ frontend still needs a manual update
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

Now the flow is closer to:

backend data
→ active stores
→ frontend updates automatically
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

It is a small change, but it matters.

As DiscountHub adds more stores and offer sources, I don’t want every new integration to create more manual frontend work.

The same idea is shaping the rest of the product too.

DiscountHub now has clearer paths for:

  • Deals
  • Promo Codes
  • AI Finder
  • Stores
  • Partner offers

And AI Finder is increasingly becoming just another way to search the same real offer data — not a separate AI experiment.

Long term, this also fits the direction I want to explore with WebMCP and AI shopping agents.

If agents are going to search for deals on behalf of users, they will need reliable, structured sources.

That is one of the directions I want DiscountHub to grow into.
