Steps
- Go to https://chatgpt.com/, click your name, then click Settings. Here's a visual aid for those of you who can't read anymore:
- Head to Personalization, find the emoji setting, and set it to Less. (Why is it less? Why is it not None?)

While you're in Settings, go to Data Controls and turn off Improve the model for everyone. I don't remember agreeing to this when I signed up, and the toggle takes a suspiciously long time to switch off, almost like they're hoping you'll think it didn't work and give up.
That's it. Did this need to be a full post for three steps? Probably not. But ChatGPT had emojis turned on by default even with my tone set to Professional, so here we are.
