10 tips to help you start your FIRST coding project

These tips are completely personal , but I guess it might work for some.

Here are some key principles I implement from The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma and Atomic Habits by James Clear, that enhanced my coding journey.

  1. Early Rising: Dedicate early morning hours to coding, free from distractions.

  2. 90/90/1 Rule: For the next 90 days, spend the first 90 minutes of your day on your most important coding task.

  3. Growth through Routine: Establish a consistent daily routine that includes dedicated coding time and continuous learning.

  4. Start small: Start coding daily 10 minutes, eventually increase the time.

  5. Habit Stacking: Link new coding habits to existing routines.
For example, code for 30 minutes right after workout.

  6. Two-Minute Rule: Start with coding tasks that take just two minutes to reduce procrastination.

  7. Environment Design: Create a coding-friendly workspace.Join a community of coders or connecting with coders.

  8. Identity: Think of yourself as a successful coder. This mindset shift can motivate you to adopt and stick to productive coding habits.
