I Sent 200+ Cold Messages and Got Zero Calls: My Customer Discovery Reality Check

200+ cold messages.

2-3 weeks of outreach.

Zero calls booked.

That's my customer discovery reality check.

I could've waited to share this. Found a better story. Polished the numbers.

But here's what I've learned building in public:

The failures are the story.

After my first SaaS flopped (2-3 months building, 0 customers, $0 revenue), I made myself a promise: no code until someone's ready to pay.

So I'm doing customer discovery the hard way.

Cold LinkedIn outreach to strangers who don't know me, don't owe me anything, and mostly ignore me.

Response rate? Abysmal.
Conversion to calls? Zero.

Giving up? Not a chance.
My mamma didn't raise no quitter.

What I'm learning:
→ Consistency beats perfection (I'm seeing more engagement after 2-3 weeks of daily posts)
→ The work you do when nobody's watching compounds
→ Sharing losses builds more trust than curated wins

This week was a loss by any metric.

But there's only one way to go from here: forward.

Full breakdown on my blog (link in comments).

What's your cold outreach experience been like?

I'd genuinely love to hear; especially from folks who figured out what I'm clearly missing.
