As a Full-Stack Developer with 5+ years of experience building web architecture, I constantly look for ways to optimize Core Web Vitals and page speeds. Large images are usually the biggest culprit behind slow loading times.
While there are amazing image optimization tools out there, I got frustrated with two things:
- Constant pop-ups to upgrade to premium after a few files.
- The uncertainty of where my images are being uploaded and stored.
To solve this for my own client workflows, I built a lightweight side-utility: Preflight Image Compressor & Resizer.

π‘ Compression Tip:
For standard photography, aiming for 80-90% quality compression is the sweet spot. It drops the payload size significantly with almost zero human-visible degradation. If you are dealing with heavy PNG files, try converting them to WebP first before compressing.
