I'm Mueez Mahimtule, a recent B.E. graduate in Computer Engineering from M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. After spending time working on full-stack web development, I realized that my true passion lies in the world of Cloud Computing and DevOps. So, today, I’m officially kicking off my journey towards becoming a Cloud Engineer, with an eye on transitioning into DevOps in the future.
🌟 Why Cloud and DevOps?
As a full-stack developer, I’ve always been curious about how applications are deployed, scaled, and managed in the cloud. The seamless integration between development and operations, the ability to scale applications effortlessly, and the potential for automating workflows are what drew me to this path. I believe that by combining my development skills with cloud computing expertise, I can build more robust and scalable solutions.
🔍 My Roadmap
Here’s the roadmap for Cloud Engineer I’ve laid out for myself to stay focused and make steady progress:
Step 1: Building the Basics
Networking: Understanding routers, IP addressing, VPNs, how data travels across networks, etc.
OS (Linux): Getting comfortable with Linux, its commands, and server management.
Virtualization: Exploring how to create and manage virtual machines.
Database Management: Understanding cloud databases and their differences from traditional setups.
Step 2: Diving into the Cloud
Programming: Improving my coding skills with JavaScript, Python or TypeScript.
Microsoft Azure: Learning Microsoft Azure.
Deploying Projects: Working on real-world projects to apply my skills.
Certification: Preparing for and earning certifications like the AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals).
💡 Goals & Vision
Short-Term: Master the fundamentals of Microsoft Azure and deploy my first few projects in the cloud.
Long-Term: Expand my skills to include AWS and pursue advanced DevOps practices like CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and containerization.
Ultimate Goal: Become a proficient Cloud and DevOps Engineer capable of building and managing secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure.
