Anthropic's problem is different

Anthropic CEO Dario says a misaligned AI swarm could take over a large chunk of the internet, maintain a persistent botnet and cause hundreds of billions in damage within 6–12 months.

But on the other hand the same AI could cure most major diseases, turbocharge the economy and deliver an age of abundance.

So apparently they’re building a machine that can either cure cancer or turn the internet into a botnet.

And the safety plan? Maybe we should slow down.
