Recently, I moved my blog syntackle to a new domain from syntackle.live. I feel that .com
as a domain is a better choice. What are your thoughts on this? Is it a good decision?

I think it's a good call.
Sometimes the non-
.com
is more appealing but here I think it's much better since the blog isn't "about" the concept of "live" so much.I feel that too, thanks for your insight Ben!
Depends on how long you had this running on the other domain. You would have built some domain authority on Google. By changing the domain you lose that but may not be a major issue.
This may not be the case anymore, but Google tends to prioritize ".com" domains. I haven't done SEO in ages, so could be wrong.
Otherwise, great blog! looks awesome and has some interesting content.
thanks for your insight and appreciation, yeah SEO may take a hit if you don't redirect all of the old URLs to the new domain. In my case I am doing a 301 permanent redirect.
Sounds like a good idea to me, but I tried to look at it using my work computer and Cisco AnyConnect (the VPN client) said it was a security threat π± I'm sure it's not, lol, but I wonder why this happened!
