Programming Languages used for Game Development

Some of the programming languages which are generally used for game development are:

• Python
• Java
• JavaScript
• Lua

There is to be a language called Processing which ran on the JVM & created applets. Now it can also converted to JavaScript library. It supports graphical shapes & animations (to a certain extent) out of the box.
