Hey Dev.to Community! 👋
I’m excited to share a project I’ve been working on — NearbyRemote, a platform connecting people with remote jobs located nearby. The goal is to help job seekers find roles where occasional in-person meetings are possible, combining the best of remote work with local accessibility.
Why I Built This
As remote work became the norm, I noticed a gap: many remote jobs could benefit from occasional face-to-face collaboration. But most job boards don’t focus on this unique type of remote role. That’s where NearbyRemote comes in!
Key Features
Local-Remote Focus: Jobs that are remote but still within a reasonable distance.
Simple Posting: Employers can post jobs quickly with no logins required.
Clean UI: Minimalist, black-and-white design for distraction-free browsing.
The Journey So Far
I recently wrote about my progress on Indie Hackers and will continue to share behind-the-scenes stories, challenges, and future plans.
