I made Best Dad because I am a new dad. Baby-care advice was scattered across long articles, books and notes, and I needed something I could actually use with one free hand at 3 a.m. So I built a short, week-by-week iPhone guide.
One no-preparation activity from it: when your baby is awake and calm, place them on their back on a firm floor mat, sit 20–30 cm away, copy one soft sound or facial expression, pause, then repeat for up to two minutes. Stay with them and stop if they turn away, stiffen, cry, yawn or seem tired.
For sleep, always place baby on their back in their own clear, firm, flat cot or bassinet—no pillows, loose blankets, toys or positioners. The app provides general parenting information, not medical advice; contact a pediatrician or midwife if you are worried, and emergency services for urgent symptoms.
Best Dad is completely free and iPhone-only:

If you are a dad, parent, caregiver or product builder, I would genuinely value honest feedback: what helps, what is unclear, and what is still missing?
