Weekly Recap
Unfortunately I have ran into some problems with my primary hosts. Since this is all in my homelab environment I am using some minipcs that have the same specs. Recently I have been having a power issue. The hosts would just lockup or shut themselves off randomly.
Looking at the Proxmox logs and using some AI helpers I was able to figure out/guess that it was a power issue. Primarily the power was not steady causing the systems to power themselves off to protect themselves. This has been going on for weeks! I was trying different things but recently I decided to just move the homelab setup to a new outlet/room of the house.
Week 6 is all about host stability. I'm not going to be working on any k8s work. Just making sure my hosts are stable and the vms are stable.
What's next
Honestly...this host issue has distracted me from my learning. I have to figure out what the plan is next. I really want to understand the High Availability (HA) of the control planes. I have seen some issues (thanks to this power issue) where when my primary control plane goes down the 2nd and 3rd control plane don't seem to fully take over. Want to research and tests the HA fail over a bit better.
