I'm not a senior developer. I'm learning web development and I used Claude
(AI) to help me build toolflow.app — a collection of 86 free CSS and
developer tools.
No login. No ads. Just tools.
What's in it
- CSS generators: glassmorphism, neumorphism, gradients, shadows, buttons
- Color tools: palette generator, color harmony, tint & shade
- Developer tools: JSON formatter, regex tester, meta tag preview, base64
- Calculators: BMI, loan, calorie, budget
What I actually did
I came up with the ideas, designed the UX flow, wrote the prompts, tested
everything, fixed what didn't work, and deployed it. Claude wrote most of
the code.
Honest take: AI didn't replace the work — it changed what the work is.
Instead of fighting with CSS syntax, I was making product decisions.
What I learned
Building fast is easy with AI. Building something people actually use is
still hard.
