On GitHub a PR into production looks exactly like one into staging. The base branch is a small grey label, and I've approved the wrong one more than once.
PR Redline is a Chrome extension that colours PR pages by their base branch:
- Red for main/production by default, any colours for other branches (up to 8 groups)
- Marks matching PRs on the repo's PR list
- Sidebar lists the other open PRs into the same branches
- New in 1.6.0: an "Agent prompt" drawer that copies a claude/codex/opencode command to update all those branches and resolve conflicts (it never merges)
It runs only on github.com, needs no token or account, and collects no data. It reads the PR list with your existing GitHub session.
