DocuScan AI: Production-Ready Document Intelligence Engine Powered by Llama 3 & Groq

Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 2: Side Hustle Submission 💸

Description

A lightning-fast, sleek slate-themed document parser built using FastAPI, LangChain, and Groq open-weights framework.

🚀 The Pitch

Manually sorting through massive textual records, structural logs, or system files to identify vital insights or check for compliance takes hours of developer productivity. DocuScan AI completely solves this problem. Built for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge, it gives users a highly interactive, sleek dark slate dashboard to instantly drop, parse, and process text-heavy assets on zero cloud compute overhead.

By utilizing Groq's Llama 3 infrastructure, the engine evaluates vast text strings and extracts structured markdown insights in milliseconds—proving that small, specialized open-weight models can outrun traditional systems.

🛠️ My Tech Stack & Open-Source Core

  • AI Core Framework: Llama 3 (llama3-70b-8192) running via the hyper-fast Groq Cloud API.
  • Orchestration Layer: FastAPI + LangChain Core prompt modeling pipelines.
  • Frontend Dashboard: Custom deep-slate responsive user interface built using Tailwind CSS.
  • Deployment Platform: Hosted securely as a cloud application using Render Web Services.
