What Each OnePassApps App Says It Will Not Do: The Limits Section on All 22 Guides

I work on OnePassApps, the team behind app.onepassapps.com.

Every one of the 22 app guides on our site has the same five headings, and the third one is where each tool says what it will not do. This post quotes that section from all 22 guides, word for word, measured on 2026-11-07.

The guides are listed at the app guides. All 22 of them carry the same five headings - What you can do, How to use this app, Limits and privacy, Common questions and Related guides - in that order, measured over the served HTML.

The 22 apps and the limits each one prints

Each line below is the opening of that app's own Limits and privacy section, quoted from the live page and trimmed to whole sentences.

  • Ambient Noise Mixer - "Some phones and browsers pause audio when the screen locks or the tab is in the background. A custom timer runs from 1 to 480 minutes."
  • Browser Teleprompter - "Playback pauses at the end and when the tab becomes hidden. Returning to the tab does not automatically resume scrolling."
  • Calendar Maker - "Years run from 1900 to 2200. A print holds one year page, up to 24 monthly pages or up to 53 weekly pages, with up to 200 events of up to 60 characters each."
  • Chart Maker - "The tool accepts up to 500 data rows and 1 MB of CSV. It does not aggregate rows, infer missing values, connect to live data or plot multiple series."
  • Citation Formatter - "The session supports 100 sources and up to ten authors per source. It excludes in-text citations, notes, legal sources, editors, translators and editions."
  • CV Builder - "There is no automatic storage or cross-device sync. Navigation or reload clears the current session unless you have exported an editable JSON backup."
  • Email Signature Builder - "Contact fields stay in tab memory and disappear on navigation or reload. There are no remote images, tracking pixels, mailbox connections or automatic installation."
  • Focus Timer - "Pomodoro accepts focus of 1 to 180 minutes, short breaks of 1 to 60 minutes, long breaks of 1 to 120 minutes and a long break every 2 to 12 sessions."
  • Invoice Maker - "A document holds up to 100 lines. Imported drafts must be UTF-8 JSON exported by Invoice Maker, up to 1 MiB, and page breaks are chosen by the browser."
  • Label & Card Maker - "Inputs are limited to 1 MiB, entries to 1,000 characters, and output to 500 labels including copies. Unreadable text overflow blocks output."
  • MovieMatcherAI - "TV tracking covers whole series, not seasons, episodes or repeated watches. Personal reviews and tracking notes remain private in this release."
  • NewsFlow - "Guest source selection is read-only. Fresh summary generation and account source changes require sign-in; hosted work follows the displayed access and usage limits."
  • Password Generator - "Passwords run from 8 to 128 characters, passphrases from 3 to 12 words and a batch from 1 to 10 results. There is no file export."
  • PDF Organiser - "Imports allow up to 20 files, 25 MiB per file, 50 MiB combined and 300 pages. Split exports allow at most 50 pages and have an output-size limit."
  • QR Code Maker - "Codes are static only: no logos, shaped modules, dynamic links or tracking. Capacity is up to 2,953 bytes at level L, and a PNG can be up to 4,096 pixels a side."
  • Screen & Cinema Planner - "Dimensions describe visible flat-screen geometry and exclude frames, stands, mounting clearance, room layout, curved screens, resolution and content letterboxing."
  • Screen Recorder - "A desktop browser with screen capture is needed; most phones lack it. The recorder warns above 1 GB and stops at 2 GB or 2 hours."
  • Signature Maker - "Drawing only: there are no typed or script signatures, and two ink colours. A signature holds up to 200 strokes and 40,000 points."
  • Social Preview Designer - "Image imports allow up to 12 MB, 24 megapixels and 8192 pixels per side. SVG and GIF imports are excluded; large accepted images are reduced locally."
  • Subtitle Workbench - "Imports allow up to 20 files and 5 MB per file. Rich WebVTT metadata and unsupported markup can block conversion; original downloads remain available."
  • Time Zone Planner - "Plans hold two to eight places, dates from 1970 to 2100 and meetings from 5 minutes to 24 hours. Each place has one daily working window."
  • Word Counter - "Text can run to 2,000,000 characters and files up to 6 MB. No platform limits are bundled, so enter the limit you need yourself."

What the 22 sections have in common

  • All 22 limits sections together run to 7293 characters.
  • The shortest is the Browser Teleprompter section at 45 words; the longest is the Focus Timer section at 74 words.
  • 9 of the 22 sections use the word tab and 3 of them use the word leave; 4 of them mention imports.
  • Only 1 of the 22 limits sections mentions an account, and none of them mentions credits.

The pattern is the same everywhere: these are browser-local tools, so the limit is usually about your machine, your browser or your own file rather than about a quota.

The credits sentence is not in the limits section

One thing the guides say a lot does not appear in the limits text at all. 20 of the 22 guides carry the sentence "never uses OnePassApps credits" - I counted that in an earlier post on the guide fleet - but not one of them puts it inside the Limits and privacy section. In 20 of them it sits further down, in the Common questions block that follows. The 2 guides that never carry it are MovieMatcherAI, NewsFlow.

How this was measured

  • 22 guide pages and 22 app pages fetched over plain HTTPS on 2026-11-07, one GET per URL, no browser, no account, no cookie, no JavaScript.
  • The limits text is the region between the "limits" and "questions" element ids in the served HTML, with the tags stripped. Nothing was reworded, translated or summarised.
  • The counts above are computed over those 22 strings, not over a sample.

What I did not check

  • No app was opened and no tool was run. This is what the pages say, not what the tools do at runtime.
  • The wording and the character counts are a snapshot of 2026-11-07.
  • I did not compare these limits with any other product, and I did not check whether a guide matches the build it documents.
