Trint is a solid tool if you're on an editorial team. It's built for that: collaborative editing, story workflows, integrations with newsroom tools. If that's your use case, it's worth the price.
But a lot of people land on Trint just looking for a free way to transcribe something, and the free trial doesn't really deliver that. Here's what it actually gives you:

So the real ceiling is 15 minutes of transcription, total, spread across three separate uploads, before the trial window closes. No credit card required to start, which is a genuinely fair thing about it. After that, there's no free tier to fall back to. Pricing is subscription-only: a Starter plan around $80/seat/month for a capped number of files, or an Advanced plan around $100/seat/month for unlimited files on a single seat, both billed annually. That's the right price for a newsroom that transcribes daily and needs the editing and collaboration layer around it. It's a rough price if you just need a transcript once in a while.
