Personally I’d say the first half of 2023 was pretty good. I had my contract extended to the middle of the year, which was good considering how terrible the job market is right now while on my search for a new opportunity.

In my free time I’m taking a Golang course at Udacity looking to get certified. I’ve applied to a masters program at the University of Texas at Austin for their AI program which is ranked 6th in the nation.

Personally been spending more time with my kids being a stay at home dad as the summer begins. I work mostly remote these days but being home and just hanging out with my kids has been nice for a change now that they are on summer vacation.

Thank you :) They’re young only once so I get a nice sliver to enjoy.

My first half has been such a good run.

  • I wrote my first article. Read it HERE
  • I passed two certifications from Microsoft ie. PL-900 and DP-900
  • I got a voucher to study on the Masterclass platform. This was a huge win for me because I get to learn from the best.
  • I had 100+ following on Twitter
  • I crossed 3K connections on LinkedIn
  • I gained 250+ following on Dev.to

It has been a good start. I am hoping to achieve more in the ensuing months.

Let me end here 😅

If you keep consistent it will snowball. Patience leads to the best outcome especially in community building.

I discovered free code camp and then dev.to. Its like graduating to me cos they are adding and help me cross reference all the stuff I learned on W3School.
My perspective is different I feel like an insider. I have always felt so alone. Here I now feel at home and I have other children to learn and gauge myself against.
And if I need help I know who to call.
BTW-
It might be midterm for others and but it could be first term for some others as well.
I hope this is relevant.
Thank you.
