I built an open-source trading RSS directory (inspired by public API lists)

Hey everyone,

I recently put together a small open-source project that I thought might be useful to others here.

RealMarketFeed Landing Page

It’s a curated directory of trading-related RSS feeds — covering crypto, forex, stocks, and macro — inspired by projects like public API directories and “awesome lists”, but focused on a more specific niche.

The idea is simple:
create a clean, community-driven place where people can collect, organize, and maintain useful market data sources over time.

What it is

Right now, it’s intentionally minimal:

Categorized RSS feeds across major markets
A straightforward structure that’s easy to navigate
Open for contributions and extensions

No complex features, no heavy UI — just something practical that works and can grow with the community.

🌐 Who it’s for

I had in mind:

indie traders who rely on fast information
developers building trading tools or bots
market analysts looking for structured data sources

Basically anyone who prefers working with raw, reliable feeds instead of scattered links.

🚀 Why open source

Projects like public API lists work well because they evolve through contributions.

I’m hoping this can follow a similar path — where people add new sources, improve categorization, or even build tools on top of it.

💡 What could come next

If there’s interest, a few ideas I’ve been thinking about:

feed quality / reliability scoring

  • tagging or filtering systems
  • API layer for programmatic access
  • integration with trading tools or dashboards
  • Contributing

If you know good RSS sources, or just want to help shape the structure, contributions are welcome.

Even small additions (one good feed) can make it more useful for everyone.

Would love to hear your thoughts or feedback 🙌
