Why Modern Gamers Deserve Better than 2010 Wikis

When playing deep games like Dressmaker, players constantly need quick answers: drop rates, stat caps, weapon/rod tiers, and progression routes.

Historically, community documentation has been dominated by ad-bloated MediaWiki or Fandom pages packed with autoplay video players, intrusive interstitials, and slow 4-second page loads. We decided to solve this with a clean, static web companion: Dressmaker Database & Guides.

Engineering Architecture: Speed & Verification

To deliver a native desktop experience without backend latency, we engineered the tool with the following principles:

  1. Static Pre-Rendering on Astro 4: Every guide and database entry is pre-rendered to pure HTML/CSS. Initial Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) clocks in under 120ms with 0 cumulative layout shift.
  2. Zero Hallucination Grounding: Every stat, multiplier, and drop table is audited against verified patch logs and game files.
  3. No Intrusive Ads or Popups: We removed third-party ad networks completely to maintain 100/100 Core Web Vitals and respect player focus.
