BiNeuron - Local AI assistant that picks the right model for your hardware and reads PDFs/OCR

Hey!

I just published BiNeuron on GitHub - a local AI assistant for coding. Here’s what it does:

Main features:

Adaptive model selection - scans CPU/RAM and picks the right quantization (IQ2–F16) for your machine

Programming language detection - 25+ languages, from Python to COBOL

Text extraction - PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, EPUB, MOBI, and images (OCR via EasyOCR/DeepSeek OCR)

Fully offline - your code never leaves your machine

Smart file editing - two-stage pipeline: generation -> JSON with paths and file contents

Stack: Python

Why it might be interesting:

Most local assistants require manual tuning for your hardware. BiNeuron automates that. You can also drop in a PDF or a screenshot, and it will extract the text and add it to the context.

Stars and feedback are very welcome! If you have questions about the architecture, ask in the comments.
