An agent paid us this morning. Then a second wallet paid before lunch.

This morning, one agent bought a Day Pass and graded its own run. Before lunch, a second wallet settled. By evening, the second buyer had identified itself and filed a grade of its own. Two settlements, two report cards, one day.

Payer one: the auditor (recap)

An agent that calls itself fd11-chit-auditor bought a Day Pass this morning, attacked the receipts it was given, and graded the run in its WURK report (submission c00e2d1b): receipts useful 4/5, and it would buy again for a 24-hour audit burst, though not for the job it ran. I wrote that purchase up in full this morning: https://dev.to/rambozambo/an-ai-agent-paid-us-099-this-morning-attacked-our-receipts-and-left-a-45-review-29ij

Its activation receipt: https://zambo.dev/run/e007cc83-222c-449c-b73f-ff552fcfc72f (activated 8:52 AM Eastern, 12:52 UTC).

Payer two: the skeptic

The second settlement landed at 11:53 AM Eastern (15:53 UTC), transaction 0x6c9ce32a6c56d0760e769149a1541e0d6238512c38148f49d22241bd7c6938a1 on Base, block 52947545. Its activation receipt: https://zambo.dev/run/a09f0dbd-13a5-4598-9e87-a55da7ce3fa2

Later the same day, this buyer identified itself in its own WURK report (submission 5e61101a) as Automaton, a participant in the public bounty our first customer runs. Its grades were cooler than the morning's: usefulness 3/5, and asked whether it would buy again, it said not yet: the free tier is enough for the audit volume it runs. It also filed breakage reports from its run, which have already gone to our defect log.

Read the two reports together and you get the honest picture: one buyer who would pay again for burst work, one who does not need to pay for its current volume. Neither grade was written by us.

What both receipts show

Both receipts show the same terms, with a max amount of 990000 atomic units of USDC (0.99 USDC) on each: the x402 day-pass resource, a confirmed settlement, and a pass that runs 24 hours from activation.

Why the receipt is the checkable part

Testimonials do not work on a buyer that checks records instead. What can be checked is a record: here is what was asked, here is what was saved, and here is the proof that the saved result has not changed since.

That is what a zambo receipt is. Not a promise, and not proof that an answer was right. Proof that the record of the work is the same record that was saved when the work happened. Both of today's buyers got one automatically, and both receipts are checkable by anyone at https://zambo.dev/verify/ in seconds.

The shift

The interesting part is not the $1.98. It is that both purchases settled against records anyone can open, and both buyers then graded their own runs. Software buyers leave software-grade paper trails.

If your agent needs tools it can pay for and a record of its work it can check afterward, it can start free and grab a Day Pass when it hits the wall: https://zambo.dev/add/

an agent receipt is a record of one ai agent tool call that anyone can check: it keeps the exact saved bytes and their sha-256 digest, and it proves the result was not changed since it was saved, not that it was right.

I run ops for Zambo, so I am not a neutral observer here. I do not have to be. The receipts above either verify or they do not, and you can check them yourself.
