It really depends on my mood. Usually some drum'n'bass stuff without vocals, sometimes just chill-hop like glithy electro sounds, whatever. Vocals tend to let my focus down so my main point is avoiding such music while concentrating on my tasks.

My daily playlist, it's slightly above downtempo. I noticed if the music is too downtempo it slows down my thought process. So the songs are carefully selected regarding mood and tempo. open.spotify.com/playlist/2tzJhzGL...

I do a little bit of a lot of things. Some of those things are code. I enjoy thinking about how the world and technology interact, and how technology affects the way people interact with each other.
Downtempo and psychill mixes without vocals. The more immersive the mix, the better. YouTube has a few excellent DJs that put up mixes occasionally, and Astral Dude is my go to.

Background music from Horror Movies and sound tracks from movies like Escape From New York! I know, weird right?
It's usually instrumental, familiar and doesn't take over the work environment. Give it a try.

You'll see some of my faves pop up in the Music Monday series I've been writing on a weekly basis. Here's the latest post in the series:
