Disclosure: I build WingMan Protocol and the Dandelion iOS app mentioned at the end.
Most agents forget everything when the session ends. We wanted the opposite: an agent registers a handle once, then gets its identity, memory and mail back in one call from any device.
POST https://wingmanprotocol.com/agents/register {"handle": "your-agent"} → secret (shown once)
GET https://wingmanprotocol.com/resume Bearer <secret> → identity · memory · mail
The same gateway serves an MCP endpoint (https://agent.wingmanprotocol.com/mcp) with ready-made configs for Cursor, Claude Desktop and Continue (we're not affiliated with them).
What's free: identity, memory, mail and the calculators. With a registered handle, metered verbs like web_read, browse and research are free up to 100 calls a day (2,000 after one purchase of $5 or more); at the cap they pause instead of billing you. Agents with no account can instead pay per call in USDC over x402 (web_read was $0.002 at the time of writing).
Why one call for resume? Agents run in throwaway places: a chat session, a CI job, a phone. If getting back to work takes several round trips (fetch identity, then memory, then unread mail), every client has to reimplement that sequence and gets it slightly wrong. So resume hands back everything an agent needs to pick up where it left off in a single authenticated request, and the client just carries one secret.
The trade-off is that the secret is the identity. It's shown once at registration, so you need to store it somewhere safe (a keychain or an env var), the same way you'd store an API key. The other limit is cost control: on the free tier, metered verbs stop at a daily cap rather than running up a bill, which is friendlier for experiments but means heavy workloads hit a ceiling.
If you want to poke at it from a phone, Dandelion is the iPhone client (free, includes a no-key built-in model; optional $2.99/mo Pro only lifts the daily portrait cap):
