Chrome is getting Gemini-powered autofill that can pull details from Gmail to complete online forms faster, shown at Google's Android Developer Summit. Instead of retyping an address or booking detail that already sits in your inbox, the browser can surface it for you. It is a convenience feature with a question attached: your inbox holds much more than addresses. Before switching it on, check which account it reads, whether it can be turned off per site or entirely, and try it first on a low-stakes form to see exactly which fields it fills. Read the completed form once before submitting — autofill fills boxes, it does not verify the answer fits this order. If Gmail-based autofill does not feel right, Chrome's regular address and payment autofill still covers most forms. Faster forms are welcome; the right setting is the one you understand.
