I launched my AI Affiliate Campaign Builder 48 hours ago. Here's the honest breakdown of what happened.
The Setup
I built a tool that generates complete affiliate marketing funnels in 60 seconds using AI:
- Niche selection
- Offer research
- Landing page copy
- Email sequences
- Social posts & ad copy
- Real-time analytics
Tech stack: React 19, Express 4, tRPC 11, Drizzle ORM, MySQL, Stripe, and Manus LLM.
The Launch
I posted on:
- Dev.to (this community!)
- Twitter/X (thread format)
- Indie Hackers (featured by founder)
What Actually Happened
2 real sign-ups in 48 hours. Not viral. Not life-changing. But real people who were interested enough to sign up.
One of them actually launched a campaign. The AI generated:
- 1 complete funnel
- 7 leads captured
- 6 promotional pieces
It worked. The system actually did what I built it to do.
The Honest Truth
I was hoping for 100 sign-ups by now. I got 2.
But here's what I learned:
- Organic growth is slow — Most people don't see your launch unless you're already famous
- Dev.to works — The people who found me came from here
- Real users validate ideas — One person actually using your product beats 1000 people saying "cool idea"
- Execution matters more than perfection — The product isn't perfect, but it works
What's Next
- Product Hunt launch (once my account is 7 days old)
- More engagement on comments here and on Indie Hackers
- Building in public (sharing progress updates)
- Listening to user feedback
For Anyone Building Something
If you're working on a side project or startup:
- Launch even if it's not perfect
- Focus on real users, not vanity metrics
- Engage authentically with your community
- Celebrate small wins
2 sign-ups might not sound like much, but it's 2 people who believed in what I built enough to try it. That's everything.
