Check out the tutorials on Udacity - they offer some free introductory courses to give you an initial taste.

I completed their Android Nanodegree, which is developed in partnership with Google - it was really great, but it can be very expensive (my work paid for it, thankfully). But those free courses are basically the early parts of the Nanodegree, and definitely good to get started with.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I have done a Udacity free android course a long time ago. But, I don't much like to learn with video tutorials. I like to learn from article-based tutorials which mainly focus on concepts than applications.

Do you know that kind of tutorial, or should I continue with Udacity despite my dislike?

Ah, ok. If the Udacity format doesn't work for you then I guess it's not worth continuing with! I'm not sure of other more article-based options myself, other than the developer docs (which are pretty good but not really what you're looking for!)

Good luck though - I'm sure what you're looking for is out there, sorry can't help more!
