In a 1990, a developer named Brendan Rich working at Net Scape communication created a JavaScript in 10days.At that time websites are static built with only HTML, CSS. Net Scape wanted to makes a website Dynamically. so they asked to Brendan Rich makes lightweight scripting Language.
It was Called Mocha :-)
They are named for Java Script Multiple Names Like What is famous at that time. First Mocha Coffee Its famous in Tech Area. Then they Are Decided Live Script. Then they are changed JavaScript Because Java is Fame at that time.
The Browser War is Started?
In 1990's the Browser war is Starting between Net Scape vs Microsoft. Net Scape Wanted Lightweight Language And Microsoft make their own language Jscript.
Java vs JavaScript
The Final name Java Script is Only for Marketing Purpose.Because Java was trending in 1990's Net Scape wanted to purposely.

JavaScripted started as a small scripting Language in just 10days but now it is anywhere Netflix, mobile Applications etc...
