"From YouTube Reels to MERN stack — how I started coding at 13 and built my own dev brand by 16."

👋 Hey, I'm Sai Likhith GB.
I'm a 16-year-old self-taught full-stack developer from Bengaluru, India — passionate about tech, obsessed with learning, and driven by one mission:
to build the future, one line of code at a time.
I wrote my first lines of code at just 13, inspired by YouTube tutorials and Instagram Reels. I didn’t come from a tech family or have a fancy setup — I just had curiosity, energy, and a laptop.
👶 How It Started
Like most beginners, I started with something simple — a basic portfolio webpage about myself.
No big frameworks, no server-side logic — just raw HTML, CSS, and pure excitement.
That tiny project?
It lit the fire inside me.
⚒️ What I Build Now
Fast forward to today — I’m building full-stack projects using:
- Python
- JavaScript
- React.js
- Node.js
- MongoDB
- the full MERN stack
I use GitHub to manage my code, Vercel to deploy my portfolio, and I'm constantly exploring new tools.
🎯 The Bigger Picture
I haven’t decided yet whether I’ll launch a startup, work at a company like Google, or become a tech content creator —
but I know one thing for sure: I want to be known for doing something meaningful in tech.
Famous not just for being young — but for being good at what I do.
🚧 Challenges I Faced
- Learning from short-form content like Reels was tough
- No one around me was coding, so I had to teach myself
- Staying consistent without losing interest
But I kept going, because I believed in my future self.
