Your honest thoughts about AI

Here is mine, I feel like it makes humans dangerously lazy, it's not AI's fault technically it's ours fault but still...

When I look back and see great programmers did a great job when they had access to rather very little sources, I lose morale thinking even with all this tools I can't achieve a level like that, I mean not that programming is the only factor in life of course, but I think stuff getting easier and easier is holding us back from using our true intelligence as a human being

pretty cool seeing someone else admit this - i get stuck wondering if doing things the harder way actually teaches you more or if it's just nostalgia calling the shots, you think people end up losing skills or just shifting them to something new

Honestly i guess i think doing things the harder way teaches more, or maybe it's just me idk lol

for example, in my journey of learning programming, I started with my phone, and eventually shifted to a single board computer with very limited resources, forcing me to understand nearly each step of what am I doing because I had to do it more correctly or rather "better" to be able to maintain a stable result on that limited resource, while I noticed I got "lazier" when i got access to a better laptop
