Signatures That Could Save Lives

Petition for PIL

Every three minutes, someone in India dies by suicide.
It’s a statistic so brutal, it’s hard to process.

This petition asks for something deceptively simple: mandatory mental health education in schools. Not wellness campaigns or token sessions, but actual curricula — teaching emotional literacy, coping tools, and how to seek help early.

It’s strange how mental health is still treated like a private weakness when it’s clearly a public issue.
Schools already shape how we eat, think, compete, succeed. Why not how we survive?

Petitions often feel small. Symbolic. Easy to dismiss.
But silence kills, and sometimes noise is the only thing that saves.

Even if this doesn’t rewrite the system overnight, it could plant the idea.
And ideas are contagious.

If collective action can build pressure, and pressure builds policy, then maybe a few signatures can someday become safety nets.

We can’t save everyone.
But we can stop pretending we can’t try.
