How Air Conditioner relay works

Let's break down how a relay works in an air conditioner in simple language:

Components of an Air Conditioner Relay System
Thermostat: The device you set to your desired temperature.
Relay: The switch that controls the power to the air conditioner's compressor and fan.
Compressor and Fan: The parts of the air conditioner that cool the air and blow it into your room.
How It Works
Setting the Temperature:

You set the thermostat to your desired temperature.
Thermostat Sends a Signal:

When the room temperature rises above the set temperature, the thermostat sends a small electrical signal to the relay.

Relay Activation:
The relay receives this small signal, which energizes a coil inside the relay, creating a magnetic field.

Switching the Contacts:
The magnetic field pulls a switch (armature) inside the relay, closing the contacts that were initially open.
When the contacts close, they complete the electrical circuit for the compressor and fan.
Air Conditioner Turns On:

With the circuit complete, power flows to the compressor and fan, turning them on. The compressor starts cooling the air, and the fan blows the cool air into your room.
Cooling the Room:

As the air conditioner runs, the room temperature drops.
Thermostat Sends Another Signal:

When the room reaches the set temperature, the thermostat sends another signal to the relay to turn off.
Relay Deactivation:

The relay de-energizes, the magnetic field disappears, and the switch (armature) inside the relay goes back to its original position, opening the contacts.
Air Conditioner Turns Off:

With the contacts open, the electrical circuit is broken, and the power to the compressor and fan is cut off. The air conditioner stops running.
