What we Built

Our small team of three decided to put together a game about two weeks before submission time. We used a lot of premade assets and learned a lot coding something we hoped would be a little bit of fun. A small third person shooting game where a robot collects scrap and tries to grow plans in a small junkyard with the goal of seeing an upcoming solstice.

The farming part was something we definitely wanted to include for the theme. The passage of time, the day/night cycle, we needed those for the representation of the solstice as a whole.

Here's some videos of us in the game.

How We Built It

Mostly panic, trying to throw together code and get things working between work shifts. We established we wanted a daytime and nighttime, threw in some enemies and got together trying to code things between two of the team. We wanted a working shop system and some lore but limitations dictated only a buy system and no way to sell scrap for money.
