I wanted to play Carcassonne with friends abroad, and its hard to be online at the same time. So I built Seizer (seizer.io): online Carcassonne alternative. You get a notification when it is your turn, like correspondence chess. Live games and bots are there too when you want a fast one.
Today it does about 800 games and 20,000 tile placements a day, with players from 142 different countries.
Stack is: React, Socket.IO, Node, Postgres, Redis.
