Make It Show Its Work

A confident answer
is not the same as a correct one.

The model is fluent in both.

So stop accepting the conclusion
and start asking for the path.

"Why this approach?"
"What are you assuming?"
"Walk me through the steps."

When it has to show its work,
two things happen.
You can check the reasoning.
And the weak links
you couldn't see in the answer
suddenly stand out in the steps.

A wrong answer with visible reasoning
is fixable.
A wrong answer wrapped in confidence
is a trap.

You're not looking for the response
that sounds most sure.
You're looking for the one
you could defend
if someone asked you how.

Make it show the work.
Then decide what to trust.
