I’m not the loudest in meetings. I don’t always have something clever to say.
Sometimes I just listen, take notes, and build things quietly.
For a long time, I thought that made me less valuable — like I should “speak up more” or “drive the room.”
But here’s the thing:
- Quiet devs fix bugs before they become drama.
- Quiet devs write the docs others forget.
- Quiet devs bring calm when everyone else is reacting.
If that’s you, don’t think you have to change to match the noise.
The tech world needs voices like yours, too — even if they’re quieter.
