Generating QR codes one at a time stops being practical the moment you need more than ten. A restaurant with 40 tables, a conference with 200 attendees, a retail chain with 500 product pages — all of these need bulk generation, not a form you fill out one QR code at a time.
The Bulk QR Code Generator at Ultimate Tools handles up to 500 QR codes per batch from a CSV file, customises colors and dot styles, and downloads everything as a single ZIP — entirely in the browser, no server upload, no signup.
How it works
Step 1 — Prepare your CSV
Your CSV needs at minimum two columns: a label and a URL (or content). Example:
name,url
Table 1,https://restaurant.com/menu/table-1
Table 2,https://restaurant.com/menu/table-2
Table 3,https://restaurant.com/menu/table-3
Save it as .csv from Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool. The generator reads the columns and maps them automatically.
Step 2 — Upload and configure
Upload the CSV. Set your QR style:
- Dot style — square (classic), rounded, dots, classy
- Color — foreground and background colors
- Size — output resolution in pixels
Changes preview in real time on the first few entries before you generate the full batch.
Step 3 — Generate and download
Click Generate. The tool processes all rows client-side — no upload to a server. A progress bar shows each QR code as it's created. When complete, click Download ZIP to get all QR codes as individual PNG files, named after the label column from your CSV.
Common use cases by industry
Restaurants and cafés
Each table gets a QR code that links to the digital menu. Change the menu URL? Update one CSV row and regenerate that QR code. No stickers to peel, no new physical menus to print — just reprint that one table card.
Events and conferences
Each attendee badge gets a QR code linking to their profile or session schedule. Generate 200 QR codes from the attendee list CSV in under a minute.
Retail and inventory
Each product SKU gets a QR code linking to its product page. Scan the code from a shelf or storage bin to pull up the product record instantly.
Real estate
Each property listing gets a QR code for the brochure. Link changes when the price updates? Regenerate from the updated CSV row and reprint just that QR.
Education
Each classroom resource gets a QR code. Upload a CSV of assignment links, generate QR codes for the handout, and students scan instead of typing URLs.
Naming the output files
The ZIP file names each QR code after the label column in your CSV. If your CSV has:
name,url
Product-A-SKU-001,https://store.com/p/001
Product-B-SKU-002,https://store.com/p/002
The ZIP contains Product-A-SKU-001.png and Product-B-SKU-002.png. That makes it easy to drop the right QR code into the right document without renaming anything manually.
What types of content work
The generator supports any URL or text string in the content column:
-
URLs — standard website links,
https://... -
WiFi credentials —
WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:password;; -
Phone numbers —
tel:+1234567890 - Plain text — any string up to a few hundred characters
For bulk use cases, URLs are by far the most common. WiFi QR codes are useful if you're setting up access points at multiple locations from a single batch.
Batch size and performance
The generator handles up to 500 rows per batch. Processing 500 QR codes takes 20–40 seconds on a mid-range laptop — the progress bar updates as each one completes. For lists longer than 500, split the CSV into multiple files and generate in batches.
All processing is client-side using the qr-code-styling library and JSZip. No data leaves your browser. Suitable for internal URLs, credentials, and any other content you wouldn't want going through a third-party server.
