Generating QR codes one at a time works until it doesn't. When you have a list of URLs, product codes, or contact pages — you need a way to generate them all at once, not click-by-click.

What You Need: The CSV Format

The CSV must have a header row. The two required columns are name and url:

name — becomes the filename of the downloaded QR code image (e.g., Product A.png). Keep names unique.

url — the content encoded into the QR code. Can be any URL, but also works with plain text, phone numbers (tel:+1234567890), or email links (mailto:hello@example.com).

You can prepare this in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app. Export as CSV before uploading.

Step-by-Step: CSV to QR Codes

  1. Go to the Bulk QR Code Generator

  3. Preview the parsed rows — verify names and URLs look correct

Tips for Better Results

Use descriptive names in the name column. The filename directly mirrors the name value. Event-Ticket-001 is more useful than Row1 when you're sorting through hundreds of PNGs.

Test one QR code first. Before generating 1,000 codes, test a single row CSV to confirm the URL format is correct and the QR scans properly.

Keep URLs stable. A QR code is a static link to whatever URL you put in it. If the destination URL changes after printing, the code is wrong. Use a consistent URL structure that won't change (or use dynamic/redirect URLs if the destination might change).

Check for encoding issues. If your CSV contains special characters (accents, commas in names), export from Excel as UTF-8 CSV to avoid encoding errors in the filenames.

What Format Are the QR Codes?

Each generated QR code is a PNG at 512×512px — suitable for digital use, email, documents, and standard print up to approximately 5cm × 5cm.
