How to Play Solitaire (Klondike Rules)
Goal: Move all 52 cards to four foundation piles, one per suit (♠ ♥ ♦ ♣), built up from Ace to King.
Setup:
- 7 tableau columns — 1 card in the first, 2 in the second, up to 7 in the last
- Top card in each column is face-up; the rest are face-down
- Remaining cards go to the stock pile (top-left)
On each turn:
- Move cards between tableau columns — stack in descending order, alternating color (red on black, black on red). A red 7 goes on a black 8.
- Draw from the stock — click the stock pile to reveal cards in the waste pile. Play from waste to tableau or foundations.
- Build foundations — move Aces to foundations first, then build each suit from Ace → 2 → ... → King.
- Empty columns — only Kings (or a stack starting with a King) can move into an empty tableau column.
Win: All four foundations complete (52 cards total).

Strategy Tips
Expose face-down cards first. Your main goal early is to flip hidden cards. Prioritize moves that reveal a new face-down card over moves that look tidy but don't unblock anything.
Don't rush Aces to foundations early. If a 3♥ is buried, moving 2♥ to the foundation doesn't help. Keep low cards in the tableau where they may be needed for building sequences.
Save empty columns for Kings with long stacks. An empty column is powerful — don't fill it with a lone King that has nothing to build under it.
Cycle through the stock repeatedly. A card that was buried may become playable after you've moved things around in the tableau.
