Nine holes. Sixty seconds. Click moles as fast as you can before they disappear.

How to Play
Moles pop up randomly from a 3×3 grid of holes. Click or tap a mole the moment it appears to score a point. Each mole stays visible for 700–1100 milliseconds — miss the window and it retreats with no point scored.
The game lasts exactly 60 seconds. Your score is the total number of moles you successfully whacked.
Desktop: Click the mole with your mouse.
Mobile: Tap the mole on the touchscreen — fully touch-friendly.
Does the Game Get Harder?
Yes — the spawn rate increases in three stages:
| Time elapsed | Spawn interval | Max moles active |
|---|---|---|
| 0–15 seconds | 1400ms | 2 |
| 15–30 seconds | 1100ms | 2 |
| 30–45 seconds | 900ms | 3 |
| 45–60 seconds | 720ms | 4 |
In the final 15 seconds, up to 4 moles can be active simultaneously and they pop up nearly every second. This is where most personal bests are won or lost.
The Timer
The countdown changes colour as the game gets intense:
- White/zinc — first 40 seconds, plenty of time
- Amber — 20 seconds remaining
- Red — 10 seconds remaining
The colour change is a signal to shift from reacting to individual moles to scanning the whole grid.
High Score
Your best score is saved in your browser's local storage and shown above the grid every session. It persists between visits — no account needed.
What's a Good Score?
| Score | What it means |
|---|---|
| 10–15 | First game, still learning the rhythm |
| 20–25 | Solid — reactive, good timing |
| 30–35 | Strong — scanning whole grid, not chasing one mole |
| 35+ | Excellent — reading spawn patterns in the final stretch |
Tips
Watch the whole grid, not one mole. The biggest score jump comes when you stop reacting to individual moles and start scanning all 9 holes simultaneously. Your peripheral vision does the work.
Click the moment you see movement. Don't wait for the mole to fully rise — click as soon as any mole starts appearing. The 700ms window is short.
Don't miss the edges. Corner and edge holes get ignored when players focus on the center. Train yourself to check all 9 holes equally.
The final 15 seconds is where scores are made. Even a distracted first 45 seconds leaves 15 seconds of fast spawning. Stay sharp for the finish.
