How It Works
You're filling out an invoice (or a quote, or a receipt — all three generators have the same feature). Next to each line item's Description field there's a small ✨ AI Suggest button.
- Click it. A small dialog opens with a textarea.

Why Three Options Instead of One?
Every freelancer has a different voice. "Landing page development and deployment" reads differently than "Built and launched a custom landing page" — both are professional, but one is more concise, the other more action-oriented. Forcing a single AI suggestion makes the freelancer feel like they have to accept the AI's voice. Giving three forces a small intentional choice.
The three variations also help when the underlying notes are ambiguous. If you typed "fixed bugs", one variation might frame it as "Bug fixes and stability improvements", another as "Production incident triage and resolution", another as "Codebase maintenance — three issues resolved". You pick the one that matches what the client actually paid you for.
What the AI Is Allowed to Do (and Not Do)
The prompt is constrained on purpose. The AI is told to:
- Preserve every fact in the notes — no inventing services, hours, or deliverables.
- Sound professional and suitable for a client-facing invoice.
- Keep each line under 14 words. Long line items look like apology copy.
- Avoid the words "as discussed", "as per", "kindly", "needful", "the same" — the calcified jargon of bad email replies.
- Vary across the three options instead of three near-duplicates.
What it does NOT do:
- Add line items you didn't mention. Three notes in → three descriptions out, never four.
- Pad with adjectives. "Robust, scalable, world-class" never appears.
- Change the language. English in, English out.

Privacy: The Honest Disclosure
The invoice, quote, and receipt PDF generation runs entirely in your browser. Your business profile, client details, line items, tax math, logo — none of that leaves your device. Sign-in is optional, and even when signed in, the AI line-item writer is the only feature that sends data to a server.
When you click AI Suggest, the short notes you typed are sent to Google Gemini for processing. The dialog discloses this above the input. If you have notes that mention NDA-covered work, confidential client details, or anything you wouldn't paste into a public form, write the description manually instead.
Cost and Rate Limits
The feature is free. The underlying model (Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite) has a daily quota that's shared across visitors. Per-IP rate limit is 10 requests per minute — more than enough for invoicing a full client roster in one sitting. If you hit the limit, the dialog shows a clear message and you can retry after a minute.
