How should i start with ASP.NET core and what are the best documents and/or websites to follow?

Hi, I am newbie to web development. My boss wants me to build a web api in ASP.NET core to fetch trading data and later on to use it on different trading algorithms. I am asking for guidelines from where should i start and which documents to follow (the official documents on ASP.NET core are a little bit outdated!).
