Soβ¦ one day I was peacefully scrolling Instagram, minding my own business π«‘. Suddenly, a random reel about Electron.js popped up.
My brain said:
π βBroβ¦ you can make desktop apps with just HTML, CSS, and JS?!β
Me: Say less. π
How It Started π
I was bored of building the usual websites, so I thought β why not open my own restaurantβ¦ but in code? π
And thatβs how my pixel-art restaurant app, Time2Eat, was born.
Tech Menu π οΈ
π³ Starter: HTML, CSS, JS
π² Main Course: Electron.js
π§ Dessert: Pixel art vibes
App Features π¨βπ³
π₯ Menu page (where the food looks better than my cooking IRL)
β³ Timer page (because waiting for food is part of the restaurant experience π€£)
π Home page (all cozy with pixel art)
π» Works as a desktop app (yes, I feel like a real software chef now)

What I Learned π
That one random reel actually made me realize:
π βBro, you can literally cook desktop apps with your web dev skills.β
After this, I even made a Calculator app in Electron.js β because every chef needs to calculate the bill π.
Whatβs Next? π
Probably not opening a real restaurant (too risky), but definitely building more apps in Electron.js.
π‘ Moral of the story: Donβt underestimate random Instagram reels. Sometimes, they can change your career path π.
If you enjoyed this, drop a β€οΈ, leave a comment, or just send me pizza. π
