In the past few weeks, there has been a massive exodus of WhatsApp to more privacy-friendly messaging.
This is great news because it shows that the general public understands the issues surrounding their privacy.
But messaging is only one step, I suggest you do the same here with any cloud service you use, such as DropBox, Onedrive or Google Drive.
We pay for its services to host our data, make it available all over the world and secure it, whether against loss or attackers.
But we don't pay them to use our data.
It is not known if this is the case, but when in doubt, it doesn't hurt to be ready.
I suggest that you put all of this in place and take full control over the data you share.
And all this really very simply.
