I've been working at a desk for years and my neck and back were paying for it. I tried every break reminder app I could find but they all did the same thing — buzz me every 25 minutes and say "take a break." Cool, but then what? I'd scroll my phone for 5 minutes and go back to sitting in the exact same position.
So I built HealthyDesk.
The idea is simple. You set a work session, focus on your work, and when the timer ends the app doesn't just tell you to take a break. It shows you a specific desk stretch with an animated demo. Neck rolls, shoulder shrugs, back stretches, wrist exercises. You do it right at your desk in 30 seconds and get back to work.
What it does
🎯 Work timer with customizable sessions from 15 to 60 minutes
🏋️ 15+ desk stretches with animated demonstrations
🧍 Standing desk mode that tracks sit/stand time and reminds you to switch
💧 Workspace reminders for water, posture, eye breaks
📊 Daily statistics, exercise history, and streak tracking
🌙 Dark mode and 6 languages
Tech stack
Built entirely in Kotlin Multiplatform with Jetpack Compose. Single codebase, shared business logic. The exercise animations were rendered in Blender and optimized for mobile. The whole app works offline, collects zero data, and has no ads.
Why I'm sharing this
I built it for myself and have been using it daily for months. My afternoon headaches are gone and I actually move during the workday now. It's free on Google Play and I'm not planning to monetize it. Just wanted to put it out there in case other devs destroying their bodies at a desk could use it too.

Would love feedback from other developers. What would you add?
