Claude Foundry: clearer code reviews, session insights and progress in your terminal

Claude Code can change a lot of files in one session. Keeping track of those changes, the reasoning behind them, and the job still running in the background takes effort of its own.

I built Claude Foundry to make that part easier: 11 free, open-source mods that bring code review, session insights, progress tracking and a more readable interface into Claude Code.

Start with five mods, installed in one command. Pick up the others whenever you need them.

See what changed without piecing it together

Changes groups edits by concept, file and symbol. When a session touches several parts of your project, you get a clearer place to start your review.

Run /changes to try it on your current work.

Keep the useful reasoning within reach

A root cause, a tradeoff, a gotcha worth remembering—those are easy to lose in a long conversation.

Insight Pane brings those details into session cards you can revisit. Run /intel to open it.

Follow the work while it runs

Live Progress follows supported test and build output from a log, giving you a view of how the job is moving. Goal Meter adds a task-based progress estimate for longer work.

That means less hunting through terminal output to work out where things stand. Progress indicators are estimates; your actual test or build result remains the final check.

Make the terminal easier to read

Lumen adds themed replies, highlighted code and diagrams. Try /lumen demo to see what it brings to the interface.

Together, these five make up the starter kit.

Try the starter kit

With Claude Code 2.1.296 or newer, run:

claude plugin install starter-kit --marketplace sruthik27/claude-foundry
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

Then run /reload-plugins inside Claude Code, or start a fresh session.

Open a project you're already working on and try /changes or /intel. That's a useful first look at how Foundry fits your workflow.

Want just the review tool?

claude plugin install changes --marketplace sruthik27/claude-foundry
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

Build your own setup

The full collection also includes side chat, session naming and search, skill suggestions, MCP controls and experimental self-drive. Each mod can be installed independently, so you can keep your setup as small as you like.

Free and MIT licensed. You use your existing supported Claude model access; model-backed features consume your own usage. This is a community beta hosted on GitHub. See the README for compatibility and the behavior notes for hooks, model calls and local data access.

If you try it, I'd love to hear which mod earns a place in your daily setup. Feedback and contributions are welcome in GitHub issues.
