Kai - the macOs now has a native fully autonomous agent

Kai is a fully autonomous AI agent built natively for macOS, one of the first of its kind. A single intelligence with complete agency over your machine and everything on it.

Website: hikai.space

Kai executes real tasks across your entire digital life. It books vacations, pre-fills tax documents, finds the fastest route to the vet, manages your smart home, monitors your email, publishes to your social platforms, and processes your photos. It remains accessible via text message, allowing you to interact with your Mac remotely from anywhere.

With native integration across macOS and its full application ecosystem, Kai connects to over 120 3rd party apps out of the box. It maintains persistent memory across every interaction through a semantic graph, retaining context from weeks of prior conversation without requiring repetition. All user data is stored locally on your machine in a private database. Nothing leaves your system.

Kai is capable of running fully offline on Apple Silicon with local models, substantially reducing the cost of utilisation and allowing extended use at minimal expense. It also supports any major cloud provider. The architecture is designed around user choice, not platform dependency.

Beyond conversational interaction, Kai provides full hands-free control through vision and voice, meeting recording with transcription, a visual automation builder with conditional logic, complete system-level control, and an integrated notes system where every input becomes part of its persistent memory.

Launching April 2026.
